3rd term at ALRA is about to start!!

Easter is over and it is times to get back to my actor training. I am moving into my 3rd term of training on the MA Acting course at #ALRA. This term we are focusing on #Shakespeare. I have been cast in our first project as Lysander from A Midsummer Night's Dream. I am not sure yet if I will playing Lysander as a man or as a woman, but I would like the challenge of playing another gender. Following this, we move onto #Macbeth, where I am playing Lady Macbeth - multi rolling with others in the class. We will tour Macbeth around some secondary schools in Wandsworth at the end of this term, so I am really excited to see what we come up with.

Also, this term we have another course in animal studies. This time I am a meerkat, after being a squirrel monkey last term. I would have like a slower, more sustained animal as I feel that would challenge me in more ways, but I am sure I will be able to develop different types of character from studying the meerkat's movements.

We will continue our voice work, this time with the Lead Voice Tutor, John Wild and do some audition technique classes with the head of our year, Aly Spiro. These classes should help us prepare for auditions out in the real world - from adverts, and commercial work to stage and film.

Super excited to get stuck in to all these juicy subjects and soak up the amazing knowledge and experience that is being passed onto me.
