ALRA students show their vulnerability through their craft
Updated: Apr 25, 2019
Today I watched the 3rd years students at ALRA perform their very own pieces of theatre and film which they had created themselves. We had shows that dealt with the topics of grief, suicide, sexualisation of women and colonialisation. Each student created something unique that was close to their hearts. They told personal stories in innovative ways bring the audience to tears and making them laugh out loud.
I had the privilege on performing in one that looked at the topic of domestic abuse and disability. It was a great experience working with people from different year groups, before the leave ALRA and head out into the professional world of acting.
